I’ve gotten a couple of questions about it already so I thought I’d just state it for the record if it wasn’t clear.
Regarding Snips
You’d think a lot of the same things I just said about Snails would be true of Snips
They’re not.
Snips, unlike Snails, is aggressively obnoxious. People complain about Snails’s voice, but only Snips’s bugs me. He’s a shrill hobgoblin. Like Snails he has a unique body and head but unlike Snails they’re not at all fun to draw and his short stubby limbs make emoting that much harder. His face looks like someone punched in a jack-o-lantern out of anger. He doesn’t have the hapless loser personality and is much less versatile in a comic setting.
So that’s why there’s a lot of Snails and not a lot of Snips
