Gator gal’s got a name now:Sister Marecage, or Sister Mare/Sister Mary/just “Sister” for short. Plenty of nicknames. Plus a few others. Friends sometimes call her Caimon. There’s a risk of going too heavy on phoeneticizing her Cajun accent, not to mention giving her some really stilted vocabulary while I pretend I’m competent enough to write casual french-cajun vernacularSo I’m mostly going to handle her accent by slipping in the occasional french/cajun phrase, as in here, and throwing a few small tics to her speech, like starting sentences with “mais”, occasionally using altered word order (“What day it is today?”, “What you said?”, etc), and that sort of thing.Going too far would make her a pain to write (and probably read)so I’ll stick with her like thislet’s see if I can pull this off (not bloody likely)Colloquially, ‘canaille’ means sly or sneaky

A friendly pony tries to talk a self-conscious man out of his insecurities

oh no you’re a day late

happy valentine’s day from the changeling gal

I was thinking about calling her some not-quite-a-name shorthand phrase that was just thrown together to describe her

but for a more traditional name I’m considering calling her Love Starved

Changeling gal
She needs to work on her act but gosh if she doesn’t try
